Creating that perfect look for a home can be time consuming. After so many Google and Pinterest searches of design and decorating ideas, you must feel like you are falling down a rabbit hole. Still, you have not found the time to make your home as picture-perfect. Maybe you prefer contemporary, or mid-century modern, or perhaps Scandinavian, so let us together discover the style, colors and details that speak to you.

Anyone can decorate their home during their leisure time, but to do it time-efficiently and cost-effectively, you will need to have a design plan. My goal is not to just make your home neat, and add expensive furniture or artwork. Your home should have a personality of its own, one that is able to speak for itself and tell a story that is memorable to its visitors.

There are 5 fundamental rules that I follow:

  1. your home needs its own personality

You want people to differentiate your home from the others. Whether you’re selling or buying, you want something that makes your place unique and memorable.

  2. there needs to be a “wow” factor

I’m not referring to a single art statue or that painting above the fireplace mantel. The wow factor is an area or space that makes a statement about the house.

  3. fengshui— creating harmony

Fengshui is about creating harmony through flow and balance. Home is our shelter, so it is important for it to have a positive energy and influence on our lives.

  4. details matter

The tiniest little details are what sets apart great pieces of art or design. Tiny tweaks can make big differences.

  5. declutter

Clutter is everything that has not found its proper place. Personal items should always be hidden or tucked away in storage; while usable items can be repurposed into house decor.

By following the above process, I am able to design homes that are comfortable, functional and gracious. I work with clients who are setting up their home for selling, who are moving into a new home or homeowners simply looking to update their interior.
